I don't have the joy of photographing twins very often, so it was a treat to have Winston and Vera in my studio! Don't they have the best old-timey names? Photographing newborns is a challenge, and photographing more than one at a time can be even more chaotic. Not these two, however! They settled right into each other for every pose and, despite a few snack breaks, slept through most of their session! Their big brother Nicholas was fantastic to work with, as always. He's so proud of his new twin siblings! It was so wonderful getting to know these kiddos, and can't wait to have them back in the studio for milestones as they grow!
This sweet family was gifted a portrait session with me by a good friend of theirs. They'd been following my work for a while (which is such an honor to hear!), and were thrilled to be able to bring their girls out for a session! We headed to a local tree farm when the late afternoon light was just right, and I had a blast getting to know these three girls. I love spending more time with families during full sessions and getting them to open up. That's when the magic happens and we get some genuine laughs and smiles. This session was so much fun!
I photographed Owen and his dog Jack last year, when they first got their new puppy. They came back to see me for a mini session this fall. Owen's a good deal taller, and Jack is MUCH bigger, but very much still a puppy! It took some serious teamwork to get these shots. Mom and Dad took turns waving around dog treats, and at one point we had Mom hiding behind a stone wall holding Jack's leash. It's all in the name of beautiful art, though, right? :) Thanks, O Family! I loved seeing you guys again, and hope to see you again next year when Owen and his buddy are even bigger!
This amazing family braved a chilly fall morning and very wet grass with me for their recent fall mini session. Their girls are gorgeous, aren't they? We had fun finding colored leaves on the ground, and taking some great portraits of the girls and the whole family! Thanks for a great mini session, W Family!
This wonderful family usually comes to see me for holiday portraits, but they mixed things up this year and scheduled a fall session. It just so happened to be their son's 8th birthday on the very day of their session! How fun is that? We got some great family shots, as well as some photos of the birthday boy himself. If he keeps growing, he'll be taller than me in no time! Thanks for another great session, you guys!
