I've had a lot of requests for school style portraits recently! A lot of local kids are attending school fully remotely and didn't feel comfortable going into school for portraits. Others had their portraits done through the school photographer and weren't happy with them. I offered portraits in my garage this month, which I never envisioned myself doing! I have a great studio space, but I am keeping it reserved for newborns and very small children who can't tolerate the cold weather during these winter months. So, garage it was! I set up a couple different backdrops, and even had a couple special requests for a laser backdrop that was hugely popular in the 80s and 90s (check out the kiddo in the retro tracksuit! - so awesome!). These were fun, and it felt great to offer portraits in a safe manner!
It's been a while since I've posted on this blog! Life gets busy, and I get more direct bookings through social media so that tends to be where I focus my efforts. But things have been going well! In times of Covid-19, things have been strange. I can't play around in the studio nearly as much as I'd like - I keep it reserved for clients who absolutely can't do outdoor sessions (such as newborns). I have some upcoming newborn sessions, so I thought I'd take a moment to post a handful of photos from the past year or two since I'm waaaay behind! Here's a small sampling for you! Looking forward to getting back on track and posting more regularly here this year.
Christopher is ONE! I love when my newborns come back to see me for first birthday portraits. This studio session was so much fun! We even got some great shots with mom and dad. Happy birthday, Chris!
Wow, look at all these amazing families who came out to see me for Christmas Tree Farm Mini Sessions! Everyone was amazing enough to reschedule due to rain on the original date, and we had a wonderful day of family photos with so many great faces, old and new!
