Frequently Asked Questions
How do I book a session?
Contact me at jessica@jessicahughesphoto.com and we'll discuss all the details! For full length sessions, a $100 deposit is due at booking to reserve your appointment. Deposits are non-refundable, but will be transferred to a new date should you need to reschedule (please allow 2 weeks' notice). We'll choose a date and a rain date (if applicable), and the remaining balance will be due the day of your session.
What's included with my session?
Your session fee covers the time that I'm photographing you, as well as high resolution digital files (number of images varies per session time). If you wish to purchase professional quality prints, canvases or other products, those are sold separately.
When will my photos be ready?
I guarantee your finished photos will be ready to view in your online gallery within 2 weeks following your session. Please plan accordingly and allow for rain dates if you're on a deadline.
How soon should I book?
Book your session as early as possible! My calendar fills up quickly, so I suggest booking at least 1-2 months ahead of your planned session date to have the best choice for times. For sessions between August and November, dates often fill up 3+ months in advance. For newborn sessions, I need to reserve dates around your due date to be sure I can accommodate you, so booking as early as possible in your pregnancy is critical!
What happens if it rains?
Bad weather happens! If you're booking an outdoor session, I will schedule two dates for you so we have a backup plan in place. That way we're not scrambling to find time if we do need to postpone! I do my best to stick to our original plans, but if it's raining, snowing, or very windy we may need to readjust.
Do you travel?
Given enough notice, I will travel for the right session! I typically work within a 30 minute drive from Auburn, MA. If you are interested in doing a session farther away, travel fees will apply.
